Question  Ripping

If You Feel you have the time and effort to join our team then please feel free to pm either me or Riot3r we currently need someone who is able to record directly from their sound card we will send you the files in rar format that we would need converting itl be your job to convert it to mp3 by any means possible my best method is playing the sound file and recording from the sound card itself converting the file to mp3 raring it up and sending to either me or riot3r to upload...

Think your gaming material contact us we will be very pleased to have another member on our team plus if the job is taken the person who is appointed will receive any full soundtrack he wants uploaded for him/her in the downloads section (2 Week Period)

RE: Ripping

just set your soundcard to monitor soundout and you can use Microsoft Sound Recorder to convert whatever noise is currently playing to WAV... then it is easy to turn into a MP3.

RE: Ripping

I made a mp3 of Power Blade and the title screen of some other NES games and the mp3's are of exceptional quality Icon_wink however i can no longer make such high quality NES recordings since i no longer own a Vibra128 soundcard and a motherboard that supports windows 9x (mainly windows ME).

i only have maybe 7 files? the power blade one is all the levels put together... i just entered a stage then waited for it to start looping then i exited the stage and moved to the next one.

the other games that i can remember making mp3's for are....

Adventure Island 1 , 2 & maybe 3
North Vs. South (awesome game Icon_biggrin)
Power Blade 1

i think thats it. all games are USA since USA games generally had extra sound chips built in which allowed better quality sounds. only a very small number of games sounded better only in japan. i don't read japanese so i used USA games for the recording and RockNESX.

Windows ME - because i don't see how this is any more buggy then windows 98 and 98se and has a better user interface then 98 and 98se.

Vibra128 S/C with the correct drivers Tongue - there are like 7 different broken drivers on the disc each with there own unique bugs/issue's and WDM based drivers crippled computers performance by like 50% or more -.- so i stayed with VXD drivers even tho Windows ME does not officially support VXD drivers.

RockNESX - the most awesome NES emulator (music wise) used for playing/recording the music.

Pentium 1, 200mhz with MMX

48? megabytes of ram. possibly 128mb... depends on what machine i had at the time Icon_wink

enjoy my mish mash of a post !!!!! oh and ill get the files and post them here when i get my motherboard back. i RMA'd it and so far it has been 2 weeks... i need it to access my hard drive.
